Valentine's Day Special Wine Selection - Red, Pink, & Bubbly

Jester King wine program curator Justin Maniar has selected some special wines for your enjoyment this Valentine's Day! Our wine program features independent producers whose approach aligns with our core values of engaged creativity, sustainability, and community concern.

Just like the beer that we create, the guest wines that we offer are intended to be approachable and cover a broad range for various palates. You don't need a "refined" palate to enjoy wine - just a sense of adventure!

Cave de Saumur Les Pouches Blanc $34

With a nose of pear blossom and banana chips, this fresh Chenin blanc from the Loire Valley delivers flavors of pear, orange rind and refreshing minerality. It is light to medium bodied, with a core of acidity that complements a dry finish. (Saumur, France)

Cruse Wine Co Tradition Sparkling $65

The wine is pale gold with a persi.stent and prominent, fine-bubbled mousse. The nose is marzipan and flint grows sweeter and fruitier with more air. The palate is full of wet stone, waxy fruit, violets, and baking pie crust. It is a complex and subtle wine. The grapes were pressed using a traditional Champagne cycle and press cut. (California)

Cruse Wine Co Deming Valdiguié Rose $55

A refreshing blast of watermelon agua fresca with a slight overtone of fresh baker's yeast on the nose. Fruity and refreshing feature. Grapes were whole cluster pressed using the same slow steady cycle as for our traditional method sparkling wines. The wine was then fermented a small stainless steel tank. Towards the end of the fermentation the wine was bottled, stored, and then riddled, and disgorge. There has been no yeast, sugar, or sulfur added — pure, fermented, grape juice. (Napa, CA)

A feminine, sensual and fascinating Nero d’Avola with a spicy and lively saline character, this wine truly represents the intriguing Sicilian terroir where it is produced. ‘Lu Cori’ means ‘the heart’ in Italian. (Menfi, Sicily, Italy)
