Public Events Manager

POSITION TYPE: Full-time Salaried Exempt

BENEFITS: Employee's medical, dental, & vision premiums paid in full; 4 weeks PTO per year; 401(k) options; discounts on products & merchandise

SALARY: Starting at $52,000 with final pay being determined by experience level of candidate.

JOB-SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS

  • Planning and delegating public onsite events for the following quarter, due by the first week of the current quarter.
  • Must follow guidelines and expectations of previous major annual events that include, but are not limited to: Doom Forge, Zwanze Day, SPON Day, Funk N Sour, and Goat Yoga.
  • Create a minimum of three onsite events per quarter that can include, but is not limited to: holiday programming, farmers markets, vendor markets, art fairs, children's programming, education of what we do at Jester King, product releases, etc.
  • Manage regular programming (Run Club, Kickball, Trivia, Two-Step, etc.)
  • Help to promote public onsite events through effective teamwork with the Marketing Manager.
  • Develop timelines of due dates on Asana to properly execute events.
  • Professionally delegate roles for onsite event execution.
  • Assist in financial tracking and budgeting for all public events.
  • Prompt communication with prospective partners to ensure logistical success of all onsite events.
  • Act as first point of contact upon arrival for all onsite events partnerships and vendors.
  • Manage setup / teardown (when applicable) of all onsite events, be in attendance of events in a management capacity.
  • Work closely with our private events team under the leadership of the Director of Onsite Events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of direct event management experience required.

Line/Prep Cooks

$500 bonus $17-$20. We are looking for kind, hardworking, skilled, and enthusiastic line cooks to join our crew!

Work Hours & Benefits:

We are currently operating Wednesday through Sunday with shifts available for prep and service. Current hourly positions are from 20-40 hours per week. Full and Part-time positions available.

Benefits include:

  • $500 total signing bonus (added to paycheck after 90 days)
  • 60% monthly health insurance paid by company for full-time employees
  • Paid Time Off; 12hrs earned for every 200hrs worked, 8hrs earned for every 200hrs worked for part-time

Approximate total wage range, based on current tip out average*: $19-$22/hr

*Tip out rate is variable and will fluctuate both higher and lower through-out the year. We also follow all federal and state wage regulations, including those governing tip pools.

Busser

Responsibilities

  • Perform opening and closing duties as outlined in the Front of House Operations Guide

  • Ensure consistent high quality customer service and hospitality

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well organized work environment

  • Observe Jester King FOH operations and provide ideas and input as to how operations can be improved

  • Ensure proper use of Tasting Room and Restaurant equipment following all safety protocols

Front of House (FOH) Employee - Part-time

Expectations:

Kitchen Dish Staff

We are looking for hardworking, and enthusiastic Dish Staff to join our crew!

Work Hours & Benefits:

We are currently operating Wednesday through Sunday. Current hourly positions are from 30-40 hours per week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Organizing plateware to be washed.

  2. Washing plateware in a timely manner (sense of urgency).

  3. Ensuring consistency in cleanliness and quality of work.

  4. Maintaining excellent organization of plateware, flatware, and glassware.

  5. Ensure Jester King property is properly cleaned and cared for.

  6. Exhibit company culture, help build morale and create an ongoing positive work environment.

  7. Working / coordinating with Back of House & Front of House staff as needed to help ensure excellent cleanliness and hospitality to our guests.

  8. Attend kitchen and open book management meetings if and when necessary.

  9. Maintain a professional appearance and behavior.

  10. Reports to BOH management and the leadership team.
