Cellar / Warehouse Worker
JOB TITLE: Cellar / Warehouse Worker
LOCATION: Jester King -- Austin, Texas

Qualifications

General knowledge of beer, brewing, and the beer industry

Ability to lift up 130lbs (half barrel keg full weight)
Can tolerate the Texas summer (or winter)

Job Duties
Perform / assist with cellar work in the brewery – specifically CIPs, transfers, carbonating beer, dry hopping, keg cleaning, milling grain, kegging, canning, bottling, fork lifting, cleaning, organizing raw and finished goods
Assist with inventory management of raw goods and finished goods
Raw goods and finished goods data entry
Help prepare local and out of state beer orders – pulling and palletizing beer for distribution
Raw goods receiving
Warehouse organizing
Coordinating with Production Manager

- RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform Tasting Room opening, while open and closing duties as outlined in the Front of House Operations Guide
Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
Ensure consistent high quality customer service and hospitality
Make guests feel we are on their side
Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
Maintain a clean, safe and well organized environment
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness
Make certain a professional restaurant appearance, including proper staff attire, and appearance standards
Ensure that order taking and point of sale operations flow smoothly
Write up disciplinary actions upon FOH employees during management shifts, when required, in accordance with company policies
Help ensure full employee and customer compliance with all liquor and public safety laws
Assist with menu planning, preparation, and up-keep
Ensure that customer facing staff are knowledgeable and friendly
See to it that food delivery flows efficiently and that guests receive their orders in a timely fashion
Observe FOH operations and provide ideas and input as to how operations can be improved
Organize, coordinate, and offer new ideas for on-site special events, under the direction of the General Manager and Leadership Team
Attend weekly FOH Department Meeting and attend On-site Events and other special/one off meetings as needed
Assist FOH Management Team with the day of management of Public Onsite Events
Help host industry guests as needed
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain and ensure excellent and effective communication throughout all departments of Jester King
Train/educate staff on our policies, procedures, and standards
Assist with data entry and management pertaining to FOH operations including key financial metrics
Work with department managers to maintain, update, and improve department process guides (SOPs)
Assist with keeping staff updated about industry news, local beer news, beer news articles, local beer events, etc.
Assist General Manager with conducting performance reviews
Perform additional duties as designated by the General Manager
Houston Sales Rep.
JOB TITLE: Houston Sales Representative
LOCATION: Houston Texas
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Salaried Position, Overtime Exempt
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Salary; Eligible for Commission Plan in addition to Salary; Health, Dental & Vision Coverage; Paid Time Off; Sick Pay; Mileage reimbursement; Discounts on products/merchandise
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years previous sales experience with strong knowledge of beer and the beer industry
Pre-existing sales network / contacts in Houston desired
Friendly / positive attitude
Organized / attentive to detail
Excellent communication and sales skills
Must have a reliable car, valid driver’s license, pass pre-employment background check, including a clean motor vehicle record
Must be able to lift up to 40 lb regularly
Must be over 21 years old
Must live in Houston market
High school diploma (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain partnerships with wholesale and retail accounts
Grow sales and nurture on and off-premise accounts from the street level up
Initially self-distribute Jester King beer from our Houston warehouse, followed by coordinating with Houston delivery driver
Conduct ongoing brand training with retailers
Conduct off-premise account product samplings as needed
Represent Jester King at beer festivals and events as needed
Assist with Houston warehouse inventory management and beer transfers
