Our philosophy at Jester King is strongly rooted in creating a sense of place, by tying our guests' experience to a time, place, and people. Whether dining onsite, eating hearth baked Hill Country sourdough bread from curbside pickup, or enjoying one of our beers purchased from your local retailer, our intent is to build a connection and experience with our guests and community.
We could not foster these relationships without the people who work tirelessly every week at Jester King, from the front of house to our kitchen, our production team to our artists, and many more! With this in mind, we continue our Jester King staff spotlight series so you can get to know our team. This week meet Jester King General Manager, Kellye Fuscardo!
Kellye has been with Jester King for about 6 months. She started working in the restaurant industry at age 9 where she worked at a family restaurant. Kellye later pursued a career in beer through Karl Strauss in Los Angeles where she helped open new locations and other new businesses before moving back to Texas and joining Jester King.
What attracted you to working at Jester King?
I've always been a fan of the product (still gets giddily excited over *any* Mr. Mingo release), and getting to be a part of an excellent and hardworking team (including Team Goats!). It seemed like a new opportunity to get more in touch with what a life of farm to table has to offer.
What does our philosophy of “time, place and people” mean to you?
Life is all about the right time, the right place, with the right people.
What do you love most about working at Jester King?
The camaraderie of the team. No matter the hurtle, the crew consistently hustles and executes at a top tier level. We wouldn't be Jester King without them!
What are a few of your favorite Jester King beers? A few of your favorite food menu items?
Well, I already said Mr. Mingo, but since working here I've absolutely fallen for Moderne Dansk. Those CHERRIES amiright? As for food--if you have any fault with the Luca you can take it up with me ;)
What else do you enjoy drinking?
Whiskey!
What’s on your bucket list?
Start a Dungeons & Dragons non-profit after school program. (Yes. I am that cool.)
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy rock climbing, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and reading my body weight in Ken Follett books.
I Can’t Live Without:
My husband, cats, and husky!
