Snörkel Batch 7 Tomorrow

We’re excited to announce that we are releasing Snörkel Batch 7 tomorrow at 4pm when the Tasting Room and Kitchen opens. Snörkel is a farmhouse ale brewed with oyster mushrooms and sea salt. We set out to explore the savory characteristics of umami in a beer inspired by a German gose.

To make Snörkel, we brewed a beer with malted barley, malted wheat, and raw Texas Hill Country water. In the whirlpool, we added Texas grown oyster mushrooms from Hi-Fi Mycology and alderwood smoked sea salt. We fermented it with our mixed culture of native yeasts and bacteria. It was packaged in June and then allowed to condition for over a month.

Snörkel has an ABV of 4.3%. It will be available by the glass and in bottles to go (750mL/$13). Around 4,200 bottles were made. There are no bottle limits. This beer will see distribution.
